The City of Sydney has revealed its own plan to “rejuvenate” Oxford St. The council will lease three huge blocks along Oxford St to real estate investment group AsheMorgan.

The properties include 56–76 Oxford St, 82–106 Oxford St and 110–122 Oxford St.

“We want to see Oxford St alive with people at all times of the day and night, with a mix of commercial, retail, creative and public spaces,” AsheMorgan investment manager Marcello D’Ambra said.

The plan includes heritage-inspired office spaces, cafes, small bars, restaurants and, subsidised creative spaces.

The Lord Mayor Clover Moore said the development of retail spaces, which make up 40 per cent of Oxford St and Taylor Square frontage, will encourage further investment along Oxford Street.
